Halfway Through the Month

If you all remember, I set monthly goals at the beginning of the month. There were a lot of them. There were a lot of long and difficult ones. But I felt like I could do it anyways. Let’s now revisit them and see where I’m at…

– Continue the Weekly Goals… Working on!
– Write Scripts for Value Videos… I have the ideas
– Create Crowd Funding Campaign… Profile on IndieGoGo, inactive campaign in the works
– Brainstorm Book Ideas… I have a little list
– Create PDF and CD… In the works
– Write Scripts for Sales Videos… I have the ideas…
– Finish the Thirty Day Challenge… DONE
– Finish Product Final Outline… DONE
– Research How to Make an Official Company… In progress
– Watch the Oscars… They were awesome
– Finish Writing May Goals… Completed!

So, as you see, I don’t really have half done yet. But I have made a significant amount of progress. I’m starting to realize how important planning is for me, and I ended up moving my prospective launch date to two weeks later on account of how the IndieGoGo campaign will work.

Word to the wise, creating these monthly goals is a great idea, but it’s also really a good idea to create a weekly plan. I have a habit of knowing what I need to get done, but not knowing what to do first. If you set a day where you work on a specific task, there’s no excuse not to start!

The questions!

1. What am I excited for today?
Honestly, I’m excited to work on the video for the 4D’s. I have a little script for myself but I’m not very good at memorizing, so we’ll see how it goes. But it should be fun!

2. What am I grateful for today?
I am grateful for headphones. They are great for allowing you to listen to things without disturbing others. They’re also great for numbing the volume of the outside world.

3. What are you absolutely going to complete today?
I am going to walk to the library, do some research, and get some video footage!

No little list for today.

To Avoid is Not a Negative

There’s something with our society that tells people avoiding situations is bad. “You must confront others!” They say so majestically in their silver armor on top of their fancy horses. “It is the only way!” They cry out before running at some guy with a lance. Yes, I just made a jousting reference.

Avoiding is not a negative.

What do they teach us in school? Avoid confrontation with bullies. That’s the only time, apparently, that it’s ever okay. Let me tell you other times it’s shown as okay: When being offered drugs. When you’re allergic to something. When it involves joining a gang.

Everybody talks about avoiding PHYSICAL issues as being okay, but they never tell you that it’s okay to avoid the mental hurt. The emotional hurt.

“Go and talk to the person causing you the issues.” Well, what if you’ve already tried that?

Here are some hidden examples of what some people call avoidance: Going to your room to cool off. Taking a walk. Putting on headphones and listening to really loud music. Putting in earplugs. Spending as much time as possible away from the person causing the issues.

Let me ask something, if you know everyday that when you go down a certain street, a guy is going to come and punch you in the face and you don’t know when but you know it’s going to happen and it’s unavoidable if you go down that street, are you going to avoid that street? Well you should.

So is it wrong to avoid the store where the person leers at you? Is it bad to kick out an explicit customer? Is it negative to avoid hanging out with the person you thought was your friend that keeps telling you how fat and ugly they think you are? Not in the least.

On that note, I’m going to the library again today.

Question time!

1. What are you excited about today?
Probably figuring out where I’m at. I’m not used to going so far above the planning stage that it’s a little scary for me. To think that even with a recent event that’s messing up my chances, I can still do things… It’s amazing. I’m excited to see what’s next.

2. What are you grateful for today?
Today I am grateful for tomatoes. And refrigeration. I had my eggs, onions and tomato combination this morning. It’s so good. I’m also grateful for chairs to sit on. And extra chairs for my cat to sit on.

3. What are you absolutely going to do today?
Well, I’m going to figure out what’s next, work on my weekly goals some more, and do some good reading. *nods*

My little list:
1. Work on weekly goals piece
2. Interact on facebook as the professional page
3. Play email catchup
4. Re-do my lemon water
5. Pack up for the library

Have a Productive Day!

Life in the Cesspool of Negative Things

I live with my parents. I’ve been in the same place for twenty years straight minus the time I moved out for six months. This is not a good thing. I’m not even going to touch on the kids living with parents debate. No. I’m going more for the environment issue.

You see, this house is filled with negativity. Arguments, messes, things breaking, more arguments, a lot of depression, anxieties, quirkiness that does not mesh well with others, that kind of thing.

For twenty years.

Nobody should be in that kind of environment. Hell, my parent shouldn’t have to deal with that kind of environment. But here it is. My problem with it is that it ruins my productivity. I am easily taken down by comments and people being crabby or depressed. So I go lay down and sometimes I fall asleep because it crushes me.

I want to be able to work on things.

So that means I need to come up with a way around this environmental damage. A lot of people are like “well just leave the house for the day.” Need I remind you it’s winter? I already walked 2 hours to the library yesterday. Hard to do that everyday.

I’ll get back to you with a plan later.

Moving on to the questions!

1. What am I excited about today?
I am excited about figuring out how marketing is going to work. Facebook algorithms are kind of screwing my page over, so I think I really badly need a website. But a website doesn’t allow the same kind of interaction. So I’ll try to figure that out too. Any ideas? Feel free to let me know in the comment section below!

2. What am I grateful for?
Left overs! I was given Leeann Chin last night by my boyfriend and I had some leftover so I heated it up with two eggs and it makes a pretty awesome breakfast!

3. What am I absolutely going to do today?
A lot of brainstorming. No, I’m dead serious. Today is a brainstorming day. I need to figure out marketing, getting past negativity, and what I should be searching for in regards to my product research.

So here’s today’s little list:
1. Reply to important emails
2. Go over research and create additional questions
3. Check balances and brainstorm budget
4. Brainstorm how to deal with negative situation
5. Brainstorm marketing strategies

Yup.

The Computer Chronicles Continue

Hello readers!

There are eleven of you currently subscribed, which is pretty spiffy stuff and I thank you for it.

Moving on, my laptop is still dead. But that’s not all. I got accepted for a freelance job on Elance. It involves transcription work and is an hourly job. Well. Hourly jobs require you to use the Elance Work View.

This wouldn’t be a problem except for the fact that the old dusty computer here didn’t have Flash-player installed. After spending the morning trying to figure it out, my mother managed to get it to work.

Then I spent 15 minutes trying to install the time tracker because I didn’t realize I had to be on an admin account because it also wanted to install adobe air which it needed to work.

Long story short, I am now working on the project I was assigned to do.

There’s always a solution… It just might take all morning to get it to work.

Also, my friend Tim is coming over once again to try and get my laptop to work.

Moving on to the questions!

1. What am I excited about today?
Probably what already happened… Getting the computer to work. Like it really excites me that it’s now a completely viable, if slow and annoying, solution. I guess I’m also pretty excited to find out exactly what’s wrong with the laptop. If my theory is correct, it’s unfixable, but I’ll be kind of happy to be right. If my theory is incorrect, that means they found a way to fix it, and I’ll be pleased because it’s fixable.

2. What am I grateful for today?
I am grateful for my quick thinking to wake up an hour early after learning I had this job to do, it was a great choice, especially because of the time it took to figure out the computer. I’m also grateful for my mom, because she was able to get the flash to work.

3. What am I absolutely going to do today?
Well, I’m going to finish this job for this guy. I’m also going to work on more research for my product and probably work on getting pictures to sell my massage table and massage chair. I’m thinking of listing them on craigslist for $400 for the pair. It would help a lot with taking care of my product launch.

And here’s my little list:
1. Finish Elance Job
2. Try Plugging Laptop Drive into old computer
3. Create backlog
4. Kajabi lessons
5. Work in scripts

Have a Productive Day!

Rough Start

So my laptop decided it was going to give me problems today. It’s a good thing I got a new charger for my iPad mini. Because now I’m currently unable to use my laptop. :/ Hopefully I’ll get it to work later because I have some important files on it, and laptops are a lot easier to use for me than tablets. Either way I’m going to end up saving up for a new laptop pretty quick here.

Yesterday I was relatively successful. I didn’t finish everything. But I got pretty close. That made me happy.

My March Goals are:
– Continue Weekly Goals
– Finish the Thirty Day Challenge
– Finish Product Final Outline
– Figure Out Launch Logistics
– Create Actual Products
– Create a Kickstarter Campaign and/or Go Fund Me
– Write Scripts for the Value Videos and Sales Video
– Research How to Make an Official Company
– Brainstorm Book Ideas
– Watch the Oscars
– Finish Writing May Goals

So that’s a snippet of what my month will look like! I actually have two friends that have already volunteered to help me with my project, which is awesome. People are interested in what I’m doing. Which is even more awesome… Yeah.

1. What am I excited for today?
I am excited to work on my weekly goal. It’s pretty fantastic. Tomorrow I get to have a new one chosen. I’m also excited to work on my brand marketing. I love to brainstorm, it’s super fun. I mean, there’s even a brainstorming game I play called “infunitum.”

2. What am I grateful for today?
I am grateful for my new cord for my iPad mini. Without it, I’d be trying to do this on my iPod. Which would then crash because it doesn’t like to do things like this. I knew it was a good idea when I bought this mini so I’m also grateful to my past self for making that choice.

3. What am I absolutely going to do today?
Well, I’m going to work on three of my weekly goal scripts, I’m going to do some book brainstorming, some marketing brainstorming, and I’m going to work on those product outlines! Great stuff today, I’m super excited!

Alrighty, on that note, here’s my list thing:
1. Writing Prompt
2. Organization
3. Backlog
4. Product Outlines
5. Weekly Goal Work

I hope you all have a great day!
