Halfway Through the Month

If you all remember, I set monthly goals at the beginning of the month. There were a lot of them. There were a lot of long and difficult ones. But I felt like I could do it anyways. Let’s now revisit them and see where I’m at…

– Continue the Weekly Goals… Working on!
– Write Scripts for Value Videos… I have the ideas
– Create Crowd Funding Campaign… Profile on IndieGoGo, inactive campaign in the works
– Brainstorm Book Ideas… I have a little list
– Create PDF and CD… In the works
– Write Scripts for Sales Videos… I have the ideas…
– Finish the Thirty Day Challenge… DONE
– Finish Product Final Outline… DONE
– Research How to Make an Official Company… In progress
– Watch the Oscars… They were awesome
– Finish Writing May Goals… Completed!

So, as you see, I don’t really have half done yet. But I have made a significant amount of progress. I’m starting to realize how important planning is for me, and I ended up moving my prospective launch date to two weeks later on account of how the IndieGoGo campaign will work.

Word to the wise, creating these monthly goals is a great idea, but it’s also really a good idea to create a weekly plan. I have a habit of knowing what I need to get done, but not knowing what to do first. If you set a day where you work on a specific task, there’s no excuse not to start!

The questions!

1. What am I excited for today?
Honestly, I’m excited to work on the video for the 4D’s. I have a little script for myself but I’m not very good at memorizing, so we’ll see how it goes. But it should be fun!

2. What am I grateful for today?
I am grateful for headphones. They are great for allowing you to listen to things without disturbing others. They’re also great for numbing the volume of the outside world.

3. What are you absolutely going to complete today?
I am going to walk to the library, do some research, and get some video footage!

No little list for today.

A Late Wakeup, A Relaxing Morning

Most people, when they wake up late, get very stressed. Normally because they have somewhere to be or have to do something by a certain deadline.

But have you ever woken up late when you haven’t had to be anywhere or so anything?

The difference is huge. Some people still freak out, but they should really take the opportunity to relax in that kind of situation. Your body has gotten more of the sleep it requires. You don’t need to rush. The sun is shining in through the window…

It’s a wonderful opportunity to let yourself relax. Take that time, that moment, to think about all the wonderful things in your life. Let yourself be grateful for the rest you’ve received.

Then allow yourself a great morning.

Questions time 🙂

1. What are you excited about today?
I’m super excited about brainstorming ideas for my Poetic Meditations. I have a renewed enjoyment for the work that I am doing.

2. What are you grateful for today?
I’m actually really grateful for the opportunity to experience the morning as I have today. It’s just been really amazing.

3. What are you absolutely going to do today?
Today I am going to brainstorm ideas for my meditations, start reading a book I’ll be giving somebody feedback on, and I will work more on the weekly goals.

With that comes my little list:
1. Interact on Facebook as the professional page.
2. Start the book
3. Work on the weekly goal
4. Brainstorm Poetic Meditation Ideas
5. Connect Personal Sites with Google+

Have a Great Day!

Combating the Bitterness

I’m really glad I started doing this. This being the blog, the business, the product launch… The whole entirety of my recent projects, basically.

I had a terrible wake-up again. I got out to the kitchen and just wanted silence. It did not happen. I found myself thinking about bitter things. A past person was in my dream and I thought with bitterness on the lack of communication. I thought on the dishes and how I’ve been doing them about half an hour every morning and how honestly there shouldn’t be a pile to even do in the morning. And then more bitterness came out.

This is when a few unique thoughts came into my mind. “I have no idea what to write for this, I just shouldn’t write anything.” And then “but what will that do for your day, you can just write about how terrible your morning is.” And lastly, and most amazingly “but that wouldn’t be fair to your readers. Your job is to provide uplifting and motivational content. Stuff they can learn and grow from. Things that make them think.”

And with that it was a little easier to deal with my morning.

The law of attraction. What you think will come to you. Sure, a little effort is required to bring it, but not as much effort as it would had you not thought about it. Which is why I’m glad I started doing this. Not only has this potentially helped others, but it is most definitely helping me.

Remember to stay positive. Even when the world just makes you want to collapse back in bed.

On to zee questions!

1. What am I excited about today?
I’m hanging out with peoples today.

2. What am I grateful for today?
Breathing exercises. Breathing to calm oneself down.

3. What am I absolutely going to do today?
Write out a one week full out plan for what I need to accomplish, finish the upload of a video, and work on some beats.

And my little list:
1. Interact on facebook as professional page
2. Send response and review to guy on book
3. Brainstorm list of websites to connect with google+
4. Backlog
5. Write out a one week plan

Namaste.

The Worst Sleep Since Forever

Last night was the worst night for sleep I’ve had in a long, long time. I woke up three times before my alarm. Twice after a not-bad-enough-to-be-called-a-nightmare dream. When my alarm finally did go off I felt grumpy and out of sorts.

I’m still currently in a not so comfortable mood, but I’m doing better. This is because of a few important aspects of my morning routine. First, I had clothes laid out already. It feels really nice to not have to look when you wake up grumpy. Second, I make myself do jumping jacks in the morning. This gets blood flow to the brain and makes you more limber and alert. Thirdly, I had a schedule that showed important things to do today. Knowing what I’m going to do when I wake up makes me way more likely to actually get up on time.

Even though I had a terrible wakeup, I have the opportunity to make my morning better. And I’m working towards it, as others should.

I might also try some morning meditation.

For those of you wondering about yesterday’s stuff, I did as much banking figuring out as I could before it became out of my hands. I hopefully find out the status of my account today.

Question Time!

1. What am I excited about today?
Creating more content for my new extra special blog! It’s called The Rhythmic Story and is focused on meditation, specifically the style I created.

2. What am I grateful for today?
Today I am grateful for paper. I love writing on it and using it for my schedules even if Chalene suggests using an app. I am also grateful for instant oatmeal. Quaker knows his stuff. And I love the Maple & Brown Sugar style, although the Apples & Cinnamon is nothing to sneeze at either.

3. What am I absolutely going to complete today?
I am going to create the content for the blog, finish reading a book for my Elance work, and come up with one amazing meditation prelude that I can use for my CD.

Now on to my little list:
1. Twitter Writing Prompt
2. Interact on Facebook as my Professional Page
3. Email Stuff
4. Khan Academy
5. Finish the Book

Have a happy and productive morning!

Some News

I’ve got some really interesting bits of news!

First, I started a new blog here on wordpress called The Rhythmic Story which is going to be meditation focused, especially focused on a new kind of meditation. I’m hoping to keep it up as a daily blog, or at least that’s the current idea. It already has two followers and I just posted it yesterday, which makes me happy.

Secondly, I developed a new kind of meditation. I think I’ve decided to call it poetic meditation. It’s explained on the first post (and will be explained more in today’s second post) of The Rhythmic Story.

Third, I’ve started a goal on my facebook page of reaching 2 more likes each day! I really hope I’ll be able to accomplish this because I want to help out as many people as possible!

As a side note, I wish it weren’t so cold out because then I could sit outside and watch the sunrise…

The Questions:

1. What are you excited about today?
Getting this bank stuff figured out. I’m having some issues currently so I need to go in and talk to people. It will feel so amazing to have things figured out!

2. What are you grateful for today?
I am mega grateful for sunrises that shows so many colors in nature’s toolbox. I am super grateful for free podcasts where I can learn about my subjects of interest. Also, free mp3 downloads are pretty awesome, too.

3. What are you absolutely going to accomplish today?
That’s actually what I’ve been trying to figure out. I’ll finish the script for one of my weekly goal videos. I’ll finish the secondary piece for a different one, and well, figuring out the bank stuff takes priority here.

On that note, here’s my little list:
1. Writing Prompt
2. Interact of Facebook as my professional page.
3. Work on Weekly Goal Stuff
4. Bank Stuff
5. Work on New Blog’s Post

Should I get IOS 7?

Good morning!

So the WordPress app here apparently has updates that are only available for IOS 7. A few other apps have the same problem. The app I have right now is working perfectly fine and I love IOS 6 but I’m wondering how soon it is before I have to just deal with the update.

Do you think they’ll plan on creating IOS 8 anytime soon?

So aside from that little question, I have an update on how I did yesterday. Was I on time? Yup. I made very good time yesterday. There were only a couple times I got behind, which I’m rather proud of. I finished the meditation research, even finishing the detailed outline for my pdf guide. Also, I did complete the recording of my late piece for my weekly goals.

On the negative side, I did not finish the writing prompt, but that had to do with my own insecurities. You see, I look at poems as a cop out for the prompts. This is a terrible way of thinking. Poetry is beautiful and I need to allow myself to utilize the skill I have at putting together words into such an eloquent fashion.

Oftentimes we underestimate the quality of what we do and that hurts us in the long run. We need to look at our skills and realize how great they are.

1. What am I excited for today?
I’m pretty excited for putting up some things on craigslist. I have a couple things I can sell and I can use the money to push my business forward.

2. What am I grateful for?
I’m pretty grateful for the concept of patience. I know I need to work on mine a bit, but I’m getting better. The better you get at patience, the less likely you are to be annoyed very fast.

3. What am I absolutely going to complete today?
This is a pretty hefty goal, but I’m going to record another late video and edit and post the other one. The reason it’s such a heft goal is because the editing is a lot of work for me. It shouldn’t be, but it is. Mostly because the files take so long to upload to the program. But I’m going to do it.

Here is today’s little list:
1. Work on Positivity Cards
2. Add Info to Business Cards
3. Edit Video 7
4. Interact on Facebook as the Professional Page
5. Work on Script 9

To the Library

I let myself wake up an hour late again. No shame in that. I was getting used to just getting up at one alarm but my sister is staying here for a couple months and she just can not do that. So I’ve begun to wake up multiple times in a row. I might just have to make my bedtime earlier so I can wake up with her first alarm ruther than continue this process of three hours of alarms.

Another note of interest is that we reset my laptop to factory settings and it works… Okay. I’m just scared of moving it or unplugging it from AC power because I lifted it to show my dad something and it reacted terribly.

And onto the title subject, I’m walking to the library today with Devohn. The weather will be below freezing, and it’ll be about a 2 hour walk, but it’s needed for my research for my product.

Why am I walking? I have no car. I have severe anxiety about paying cash on buses. I don’t have a bus card. Rides are busy.

There’s always another option, trust me. You can find one. Hence the walking.

It’ll be awesome to be able to do research there. I’m actually really excited. I hope they have a lot of books on my subject matter. It’s a rather large library.

On to the questions!

1. What am I excited about today?
Walking to the library, obviously. That and hopefully finding a super good book.

2. What am I grateful for today?
Books. And libraries that give you free access to said books. And refrigeration that makes sure mushrooms don’t spoil as fast. I had mushrooms with my eggs this morning.

3. What am I absolutely going to get done today?
The scripts. Doing some research. And my exercise, considering walking to the library will be exercise.

And my little list for this morning:
1. Kajabi
2. Khan academy
3. Lemon Water and Snack Making
4. Walking
5. Book Research

Yup.
